Happy New Year! I know it’s already February the 3rd, however, I haven’t done a blog post yet this year, and I therefore felt like I had to greet you all with a ‘Happy New Year’. Speaking of a new year how have your 2021 been so far? Personally, I always feel like January is the longest month ever, but then again I don’t even feel like it’s 2021 – does anyone else feel like that? Anyway, today I thought I’d share my ‘January Favourites’ with you as I feel like they’re way too good not to mention in a blog post. Thank you for reading and I hope you’ll enjoy this post! xx

PASTEL PAITED NAILS
This month I’ve absolutely loved painting my nails in different pastel colours. I know there’s probably a good handful of you out there who can do the most impressive nail art ever, however, that does not include me (lol). I always just go for a one-colour-look all the way through and I actually really like it. I usually go for a baby blue or a pastel purple, although, I’d love to have them in a pastel yellow or green too. What are your favourite nail colours? Let me know in the comments.
CHAMPAGNE, PLEASE!
During this entire month I’ve really been daydreaming about this specific holiday atmosphere. I’m the sort of person that enjoys city break holidays more than anything. With this playlist, I had a specific atmosphere in mind; just imagine you’re sat outside of a café in Paris, it’s spring, you’ve got a chic jacket on, you’re reading a magazine while drinking a lovely cup of coffee. To me that honestly sounds so dreamy. Because of COVID (BTW, at this point, doesn’t every sentence start like this?) a trip to Paris isn’t an option, so I created a playlist that would give be the vibes of that dreamy holiday. Call me silly, but I LOVE it!

A CUCUMBER CLEANSE
I’ve been looking for a good, gentle and hydrating cleanser for what feels like ages. Normally, some cleansers are simply to active on my skin which leaves my skin feeling dried out. For Christmas I wished for this one by Fresh as I absolutely love their products – and this one is no exception. To me it smells a bit like cucumber (which isn’t a bad thing at all), I think it’s because of its freshness. It always leaves my skin feeling cleansed, hydrated and smooth. It is a bit pricy, so if you know of any good cleansers please share your knowledge with us in the comments.

ONLINE YOGA CLASSES
Through this month I’ve done more yoga than ever before. I generally struggle to find types of workout that are enjoyable. I’ve tried many different things but nothing beats yoga in my opinion. I love how it challenges my strength both mentally and physically. Also, I love how you need to use your breath to guide you through the stretches, the planks and so on. I attend some online practices by an instructor called Laima, which honestly does the best yoga I’ve ever come across. If you’ve not tried to attend an online yoga class yet, please do yourself a favour and check it out.

CONVERSE X COMME DES GARÇON
I’ve been looking to buy these beautiful shoes for like a year and this month I finally decided to get them. I must say I haven’t worn them much (yet) because we’ve had weeks of snow here in Denmark, however, I thought they were too pretty not to share with you. Normally, I’m not the biggest fan of black shoes, but because these ones have got a lot of white on them and a red heart, they seem different to me.

HANDY HAIRCLIPS
Am I the only one who just can’t work with hair hanging down their face. Whenever I have to do some work on either my computer or IRL, I just get so irritated if I have hairs flying everywhere. I do like to tie my hair up with a regular hairband, however, I LOVE these hairclips at the moment. They’re like an extra accessory that just makes me feel a little extra good looking. The ones I’m loving the most are from a brand called Sui Ava, which you can get hold of here. Do you like hairclips?
DISNEY’S ‘SOUL’
This month I decided to get Disney+ (link here) because I’ve literally been a fan of Disney ever since the age of 4. Disney has just launched their new film ‘Soul’, which is probably one of the best films I’ve watched in a good while. Without giving too much away, the movie is filled with jazz music, but most importantly, it questions how we live and how we approach life. I really needed this movie here on lockdown day who-knows-what, because it really made me think about how I approach these scary times. If you’ve not watched it yet I highly recommend you do!

WORRY-FREE DEODORANT
It’s been about 4 months since I purchased my Wild Deodorant (which I’ve linked here), and I must say I’ve loved it for just as long. I have really struggled to find a deodorant that just ticked all the boxes for me. I like that it smells fresh, that it’s in a stick form so it doesn’t have to dry in my armpit, I love that it’s a refill concept and I love that it’s made from all natural ingredients. I’ve become more and more conscious about what products I use on my body, because your body is your home so you better take good care of it. I love that I can put that deodorant on every single morning and think that this product isn’t going to irritate or mess with my body’s natural systems. I might do a review of this deodorant just to go more in depth with the product, does that sound like something you’d like to read? Also, are you becoming more conscious about your beauty products’ ingredient list?
This was all I had for you today. I really hope you liked this blog post – if so please make sure to like it and feel free to leave a comment, either answering a few of my questions or just anything else you’d like to get off your chest. I hope you’re well in these times and that you (to some extend) can find good parts in each day, if not then that’s completely okay and normal too. I just want to let you know that I care for you and I’m genuinely interested in knowing how you are at the moment. Lots of supportive love from…
Karen xx
