Hello my lovelies! How’s your Sunday going so far? Let me know in the comments. So, today I’ll be sharing my trip to The Netherlands with you. If you follow me on Instagram, you have definitely already seen some of the locations – thanks to Instagram storiesĀ ; ) Me and my family was there for about five days, and we ended up visiting and staying in three different cities – which I tbh think is quiet a few in just five days. Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy this littl’ post filled with collages and ideas on where to explore if you should ever happen to pay The Netherlands a visit. Let’s GO!

Before we left we were recommended to go n’ visit Delft – a little town just outside of The Hauge (which was the city we were staying in) And let me tell you; Delft is probably one of the cutest and prettiest littl’ cities / towns I’ve ever been in. The buildings, bridges, churches & canals were all just so beautiful (like the rest of Holland’s haha) So when going to The Netherland I can’t recommend you going to Delft enough – just catch the tramp and SET OFF.
“So what to explore as a tourist in Delft?”Ā you may ask. Well, normally I hate doing touristy stuff – a) because I like to think I’ll live as a local while I’m visiting (haha) b) because it often involves a heck load of people, which is one of the things that make me feel the most anxious. But, since Delft is a rather small town there was no problem. We decided to visit a pottery – which The Netherlands are quite famous for. The place we visited was called Royal Delft, it was really interesting but mostly impressive to see.
When we started to feel a little peckish we thought a spot of lunch would be at it’s rightful place. We ended up eating at a place called PleckĀ (their webside nor Instagram doesn’t do any justice of how cool the place actually was). The food was really nice and the interior just stunning. Again I highly recommend you go if you happen to visit Delft.

So obviously one can’t go to The Netherlands without going to Amsterdam – can they? In Amsterdam I actually didn’t take too many photos mainly because I was suffering from the worst migraine headache ever. I was absolutely gutted about it, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. However, I did manage to whack my camera out when we were passing these goddess looking streets.
In Amsterdam we went to The Van Gogh Museum which was really interesting. His paintings talk for themselves, however his life story was actually what caught my attention the most, believe it or not. After that we went to Wagamama’s for lunch and then we were off to The Anne Frank Museum. I’d already read the diary so I was most excited to getting it visualized – because how often do you get to chance to do that with a book? My mum actually booked this 30 min introduction thing (since I was the only one who’d read her diary) And I must say; from now on I will only recommend people to have that introduction as a must do. We learnt so much which the diary doesn’t talk about, and if we had any questions they’d get answered. Please promise me and yourself to do the introduction thing.

So as I said before The Hauge was the city we were staying in – since it’s SO expensive for a lot of five to stay in Amsterdam for five nights (tip to be noted people) But I promise you you’re not missing out on anything. Shopping was beyond great and so was the food options. One of my favourite places we ate was at Walter Benedict. Not only was the food a-mazing, but the interior was SO SO stunning. Very appropriate for Instagram haha.
So that’s it lovers. I hope you enjoyed seeing and hearing about me and my family’s little get away to The Netherlands. I definitely enjoyed being there haha – but also editing these photos. If you enjoyed this post then please make sure to like it & let me know in the comments:
Have you ever been to The Netherlands? Do you like the sound of the places we visited? & most importantly; Do you like the way I edited these photos?
I post every single Sunday so if you don’t want to miss out on that then make sure to follow my blog or subscribe by e-mail. Until next Sunday have a wonderful week.
