Berlin Beauty Buys
So as you may know I went to Berlin not that long ago. It was so much fun and I got around to buy a few beauty pieces. So that is what I’m gonna show you.
ENJOY!
Skin care
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum: This serum is properly the best thing I’ve ever tried. The smell is very natural and nice, you only have to use 3 drops for your hole face. And funny enough you don’t smear it around in your face, you sort of press it in to your skin. But first you have to warm it up between your hands, so it sinks into your skin a lot easier.
Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment: Just like the serum this eye cream is amazing! I have very dark circles under my eyes, and this really helps them not being that dark. If you have very dry under eyes this is THE eye cream. This actually comes in 2 sizes, I’ve got the little one mainly because I was not sure If I liked it. But it also only last 6 moths so there is no reason to get a big pot, when you can’t even use it up before you have to trash it. And sadly I dropped mine on the bathroom floor so the lid broke, but I mean it still works 🙂
Eyes, Brows & Lips
Benefit Rollar Lash: I’ve actually had this mascara before, but I saw It was a part of a Benefit Christmas gift set, with loads of other makeup goodies. This mascara is my all time fave mascara, because it gives length and loads of volume. But remember we don’t all have the same lash type so don’t hate me if you try it and aren’t in love. And let me tell you a secret about mascaras, when you open one for the first time it will take about 7-10 days before it’s the right formular. So that’s why you shouldn’t listen to peoples first impressions on mascaras.
MAC Haute & Naughty Lash: This is another mascara I bought although I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll let you know if I like it.
Benefit Grimme Brow: Everyone is raving about this little guy, and before I tried it I just though It was really expensive and nothing special. But after I tried it I’m regretting everything bad I ever did say about it. This product is FAB! It makes your brows full and natural looking, it’s very hard to describe. My final word for this is: Go’n get it!
Urban Decay Vice (EX-Girlfriend): Very recently Urban Decay released a brand new range of lipstick. The range contains 100 different lipsticks so it’s kinda hard to choose. How ever this is properly one of my all time fave lipsticks, it’s just such a “Karen-Colour”. The formula is creamy and light weight and the shade is like a your lips but better.
Face & Cheeks
Benefit Pore-Fessional: I’m not a primer person, manly because I forget it when I’m doing my makeup. I have tried this a couple of times but I’m not sure if I’ve noticed any difference. But I know a lot of people can’t live with out it, so try it if you want to and please let me know what you think about it. And this was also a part of the Christmas set.
Essence Me & My Umbrella: In the shade: You Can Stand Under My Umbrella. I know such a long name and title. This blush shade is very similar to the NARS blush in Orgasm. Although this one is a little more natural, and it’s alright but not great.
Max Factor Seductive Pink Blush: I love this blush, it’s actually quit dark in colour. The colour is like a pinky/purple-ish, so it’s perfect for this time of the year. The texture is kinda creamy but not, It’s a bit difficult to explain just go and swatch it in a store!
Benefit Hoola Bronzer: OMG this bronzer is life! It’s so hard to find perfect bronzer shades because they can be too orange or too greenish. And this one is so beautiful as bronzer and contour, so you can say it’s a 2 in 1.
Here are just some swatches of the “swatcheble”products.
Left to right: Essence blush, Max Factor Blush, Benefit Hoola Bronzer & Urban Decay lipstick.
Nails
Essie Spin The Bottle Nail Polish: I’ve been on the hunt for the best pink pastel nail polish in ages, so when I came across this shade I just knew it would be amazing. And guess what I was right.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. It means a lot to me!
Love ya!
Karen xx
